{UAH} KABAKA MUTEESA'S BOAT!
This is a rare photograph of the Royal yatch of Uganda's first indeginous president Sir Edward Muteesa (photo attached). The picture was taken in 1974 on the day when the boat was being officially handed back by the Amin government to Sir Edward Muteesa's young heir Prince Ronald Mutebi, the current Kabaka (King) of Buganda. The Royal yatch had been stolen by Uganda's Prime Minister Apollo Milton Obote eight years earlier in 1966 after he militarily deposed Uganda's independence president, forcibly changed the Constitution by almost literally putting all Members of Parliament at gun point and ordering them to enact his infamous "Pigeon hole Constitution" where he appointed himself president, banned all cultural leaders, and banned all political parties except his own (which he had originally scammed from it's founder, and which is now known as his own UPC party to this day). Obote then embarked on arresting, jailing and torturing all his political opponents in unknown state dungeons for five years until that glorious day in 1971 when they were all finally freed from the cruelty of political detention by Idi Amin.
In a fit of untold hate, Milton Obote is also said to have even pursued and murdered his predecessor (the owner of the yatch) by poisoning in exile, also declared martial law, thereby embarking on ruling Uganda with an iron fist that included a permanent 7pm - 5am curfew for five whole years until the day he was himself overthrown by the army while on a state visit to Singapore for the Commonwealth Summit. A trip where Obote had left chilling orders for his tribalist henchmen to brutally remove from the army, the police and the entire public service all those who were not his tribe or ethnic group. A plot that backfired when the rest of Ugandans in the army joined together to resist Obote's tribalism, freed themselves from his detention, fought back against his bloodthirsty henchmen, ultimately deposing Obote instead while he was abroad. How Tanzania's 25-year unelected ruler Mwalimu Julius Mberenge Nyerere, who ironically claimed to fight dictatorship, found it legitimate to return this Obote monster to power in Uganda for a second, even more tragic bloodbath against the people of this country several years later, is a matter that remains mysteriously unexplained by democracy, by our mediocre historians, or by our obviously confused and opportunist local politicians who were suckling the Tanzanian communist dictatorship at the time. The Buganda Royal Yatch had a luxurious indoor living room/lounge at the rear, and a small bedroom suite at the front area (with round windows) where Apollo Milton O'boat'e would happily enter with a bottle of Waragi to enjoy Kabaka Muteesa's bed.
