PARAMOUNT CHIEF BEGS BESIGYE TO REPAIR VEHICLE, HOUSE GIVEN TO HIM BY MUSEVENI

Deputy Paramount Chief of Ker Kwaro Acholi has asked the RED CARD chairman Dr. Kizza Besigye come to his rescue and to repair a broken vehicle  and dilapidated house donated to him by Mr. Yoweri Museveni. 

Rwot Martin Otinga Otto Yai, the Lamogi clan Chief made the request on Friday, November 26 while hosting Dr. Besigye and team who paid him courtesy call at the palace of the Paramount chief in Kanyagoga Acell in Bardege Layibi Division Gulu City to brief the institution about the work of the pressure group dubbed 'RED CARD FRONT'.

The Lamogi chief also alleged unfair treatment of the institution by Uganda government

He begged Dr Besigye to help him repair his vehicle that he said broke down almost a year ago.

"You see this letter; I was preparing to give it to you. In the past, this boy (Gilbert Olanya) requested a vehicle for me. I was given the vehicle but, does the vehicle use water? No, it uses petrol and the government did not giveme money for fueling or servicing. I decided to take back their vehicle and park it in the Presidential Lodge compound," Otinga expressed his frustration to Dr Besigye and team as he handed over his envelope detailing the request.

He said he's unable to maintain the car in terms of repairing and fueling.

He also says after the vehicle broke down, he has not been able to reach out to his subjects, therefore asking Dr. Besigye to support him so that he can rally support for People's Front for Transition.

 

Apart from the request to repair the vehicle, Otinga asked Dr Besigyeto help renovate his house which he says is now in a very sorrowful state, especially the in-house toilet system which is hindering him from hosting visitors.

Lamogi clan chief said he would have loved to host Besigye at his home but because his toilet is very bad, it makes the house inconvenient to host the leader of the People's Front for Transition.

In response, Dr. Besigye instructed Gilbert Olanya, Member of Parliament of Kilak South where the clan chief comes from, to follow him so that they see a way of supporting him and get back his ride on the road to help him mobilize his subject for change.

"We shall try to make sure you can visit your people so that we can get our message to them also," Dr Besigye said while instructing Olanya to take up the matter.
