𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗿 𝗞𝗶𝘇𝘇𝗮 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝘆𝗲'𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗼𝗻 𝗡𝗧𝗩 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁 & 𝗖𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱-19 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲.
▪️This is a government of conmen. Those who want to thrive among con men must speak their language or get sacked. Even among the medical professionals, there are con men who talk because they want to have food on their table.
▪️The COVID-19 pandemic and the way it was responded to has accelerated the crisis in our country. The crisis has been building for a long time now. We would like to unpack this crisis for those who wish to understand it.
▪️You cannot manage a pandemic without a plan of how you intend to respond to the various elements of the pandemic. The crisis we have arose from the absence of any coherent plan that is followed in the management of the pandemic.
▪️We should have had a plan of how to quickly step up the health care capacity. Recruitment of doctors, nurses technicians and lab assistants should have been done quickly. The whole health care system is now paralysed with strikes.
▪️Uganda is one of the least [COVID-19] testing countries in the world. The numbers you hear of are mostly people tested at the borders. Within the communities, there is no testing.
▪️COVID-19 got into Uganda in March 2020. By August 2020, according to the Health Ministry, we had already reached stage 4 in terms of transmission, which is wide scale community transmission. We got to the worst within 6 months.
▪️The crisis in Uganda is one of Failure To Thrive. The greatest majority of Ugandans cannot cope. The health care situation needs to be fixed including the cost. Most of the people dying are leaving us due to the absence of care.
▪️Ugandans should be worried about the slow death of the country that has been going on. The health care crisis is so big because we did not attend to it.
▪️What this regime uses to soothe people while it creates the decay in our system is misinformation. That is why they invest soo much in deceiving people.
▪️Government intervention can deal with issues of hunger. Policy of government is critical. People's livelihoods are impacted by what kind of policies and investment is made by our leaders.
▪️Keeping students away from schools for 2 years is the biggest crime any regime can do on its [people. That is what deprives people of knowledge.
▪️Ugandans are people who live amongst plenty but live in humiliation. That contradiction is the crisis. The main causes of that crisis is that those who are humiliated have no say.
▪️Why did Museveni go to the bush? Since independence, there has been no leader who has been lifted into state house bny people's voices. No, leader has left leadership because of people's voices. People have no voice - Dr

▪️You will never have a convergence of minds amongst everybody. What is important is to know that the population will get out of the crisis by their own action.
▪️In 2001 and 2006, I did not know the dysfunctionality of courts. I went to court twice to challenge the outcome of elections. I gained knowledge about what goes on. Based on this I realised that we had to change course.
▪️We have a disproportionately high percentage of elites here in Uganda who are a huge part of the problem. This could be due to the kind of education they get. We need to resolve the education crisis, the content.
▪️To procure transition in this country we must overcome the military rule that is there in the country. To overcome it, we need people who are organised and willing to do what is necessary. With this, we can take action together.
