{UAH} CHRISTOPHER SEMBUYA, THE EXCEPTIONAL UGANDAN ENTREPRENEUR MEETS DEPLORABLE END.

CHRISTOPHER SEMBUYA, THE EXCEPTIONAL UGANDAN ENTREPRENEUR MEETS DEPLORABLE  END. 

Christopher Sembuya, was one of the funders of the NRA Luweero bush BUT he died a miserable man after losing his business empire due to accumulated debts. 

SEMBUULE enterprise was valued at over 50 billionUgx at the time it was liquidated. 

The Sembuule Empire included the following;

1. Ssembuule was the first Ugandan to manufacture steel and almost every household in the 70s & 80s was built using Sembuule iron sheet, steel bars, nails, bolts & nuts.

2. Bank of Africa Uganda (BOA) formally Sembuule Investments Bank (SIB) was founded by Ssembuya Christopher and his brother Buule. 

3. Former WBS TV, was also founded by the Sembuule. 

4. Many people still remember the Sembuule radio, Ssembuule was the first Ugandan owned company to assemble radios.

5. The Ssembuyas are the biggest single Cocoa farmers in East Africa.

The NRA government could have directly facilitated the collapse of Sembuule when they deliberately sponsored it's competitors. 

"Foreign investors" were given free land, capital💵 and even tax holidays ranging between 20-30 years, making it impossible for Sembuule to compete in the same market thus incurring Bank loans to keep afloat.

When the lender came knocking, there was no money and nobody to help.

Mzee Ssembuya tried appealing to his 'friend' Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, a man whom the his company had sponsored during his war but his pleas fell on deaf ears, the campany COLLAPSED.

Yesterday, Mzee Christopher Ssembuya returned to his creator but we can't say he has died completely contested despite achieving so much for his country.
