{UAH} Commander Mathias Mbulunganga

Born a soldier and died as a soldier, the late SWAPO's Military wing, the People's Liberation Army of Namibia (PLAN) Commander Mathias Mbulunganga Ndakolo is regarded as one of the best personalities of the century both in Namibia and the continent of Africa. He commanded many successful battles against the white South African apartheid forces both inside Angola and Namibia during the armed liberation struggle.

He was neglected after independence and consequently died in abject poverty.
