{UAH} JAB 'U-TURN' Mandatory Covid jabs for NHS and social care workers ‘to be SCRAPPED’ over staff shortage fears and ‘milder’ Omicron
According to The Telegraph, plans to axe the controversial measure will be rubberstamped tomorrow.
Mr Javid is expected to meet with fellow ministers on the Covid-19 Operations Cabinet committee to officially bin the plans.
It's thought the jab plans have been ditched because the Omicron strain is milder than other variants.
But the best way to protect yourself and your loved ones, and to ensure Britain can "learn to live" with Covid, is to get jabbed - or boosted.
Under previous measures, NHS staff would have needed to have been double jabbed by next Thursday- or risk losing their jobs.
It is understood that under the previous plans, measures were in place for those who could not get jabbed for medical reasons.
With new rules planned for April, anyone not double jabbed by February 3 would have missed the window.
It was estimated it could see some 80,000 healthcare workers forced out of the profession.
