Host Milton Allimadi is joined by Black Star News Managing Editor Colin Benjamin in conversation with Gambian community leaders who'll give listeners an update on the tragic fire in the Bronx apartment building that claimed the lives of 17 people including eight children. Most of the victims are from Gambia and other West African countries.

We'll also have a quick update from Enron Kiiza, lawyer of the PEN International 2021 Writer of Courage, Ugandan novelist and Black Star News columnist, Kakwenza Rukirabashaija who was arrested on December 28, 2021 by the Gen. Yoweri Museveni dictatorship. Rukirabashaija has reported been tortured while in captivity. He was first arrested in 2020 and tortured by the regime following the publication of his novel "The Greedy Barbarian" about a dictator in a fictional African country.
