This fuel crisis is caused by poor planning by the government, and it's going to cost us a lot. This government, led by President Museveni, acts under pressure.
Every sane government must have fuel reserves, and we have them.
In America, they have reserves that can take them for 30 years. This country is at the mercy of businessmen and women. We have fuel reserves in Jinja, but they are empty.
Dealers are not hoarding fuel. The demand is just high. Petrol stations don't have fuel.
Truck drivers are now playing football because they have nothing to do. What are they going to cause in that area? Poor sanitation, theft, and prostitution.
We have given NUP space to work because they thought we were doing nothing. What is Kyagulanyi doing? What are his people doing? They said we were massaging Museveni. Even former presidential candidate John Katumba has come out asking for permission to conduct a peaceful demonstration.
You can only have this fuel crisis stopped by doing two things;
1. Having reserves filled up
2. Having planners
The best thing for the government to do now is to remove tax because they (the government) are the ones that have caused the crisis. They wanted to collect money from COVID-19 testing.
