{UAH} Letter from Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania
So indigenous Ugandans, despite their big population, are endangered ?

Letter from Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania
Dear the Indigenous people of Uganda
I am a Ugandan from Kigezi. I have been living in Tanzania since the East African Community in which I was a senior officer collapsed in 1977
I am happy to be penning these words, which are not words of survival, not sabotage or extinction.
The title of my letter exhibits my pain, which should be the pain all indigenous Ugandans should be suffering.
POINT BLANK: INDIGENOUS UGANDANS ARE BEING DEPRIVED OF THEIR HOMELAND BY AN IMMIGRANT GROUP IN KIGEZI AND ANKOLE
.If you think that too long you can precisely shorten it. to "Indigenous Ugandans Losing Their Homeland". Important to include the word "Indigenous " to let all know we the Indigenous people are the ones entitled to land. Again that's where Tanzania differs from us. Non-Tanzanians are by law prohibited from owning land in Tanzania. A foreigner goes into partnership with a local person in the ownership.
We need a platform for publicising that foreign people are virtually forcing our indigenous population to sell land under duress. In fact under force of arms! They are coming in armed forces uniform and pretend to be Banyankole or Bakiga. Such scams shall be overturned by the indigenous population of Uganda in the long run whether the ursurpers know it or not. This puts them on notice. All land fraudulently obtained during this period is and shall always be null and void. We should all recall the 1929 Nile waters "agreement" arranged between Egypt and the colonialists. The Egyptians signed an "agreement" with people who DID NOT own the river and were foreign usurpers. They did not even own the land through which the river flowed. It's akin to buying stolen property.
What that migrant group from Eastern DRC ((Banyamulenge) and Rwanda (Rwandese) but belonging to the Sam stock of people, is doing is pushing us out of our country and exporting us into slavery, literally sending us away from our land and inheriting it.
The late American historian, Professor Howard Zinn , in his epic treatise on American history "A People's History of the United States " tells us in shockingly vivid detail how the Indians were forced from their land. Many groups were murdered to the last man. It's a book I would recommend to whole world as necessary reading. That will happen to us in Uganda if we don't act on it. The so-called 50-year plan we started hearing of many years ago is being implemented as we are made to sing praises to the implementers..
Go to the passport office in Kampala. You will never see a Tutsi-cum-Hima in that kilometre-long queue. Don't think that they don't travel moreover on your hard-earned taxes . They are staying behind inheriting our homeland. The passports they use (and that includes their mothers') are the diplomatic variety.
Indigenous people can never get anywhere near them. Our taxes buy guns and pay gunmen to keep you and I as far away as possible from them. I saw that at Kasubi where a certain doctor runs a clinic for cancer, hypertensive and diabetic patients. Those Tutsi/Hima women overgorged on milk products get all sorts of health problems and come to see that doctor. When they are in the clinic you might think a warlord is inside. Gunmen sitting in unmarked Prados all over.
I think when the rebels told us they had brought us sleep and we clapped, we started the long into march into the Dreamland, as everything was being taken away from us to make those people comfortable at our expense. And they have been taxing us to the bone for their own glory. We must suddenly wake up as if Jesus has come for all of us. If we continue sleeping , by the time we wake up we shall have nothing. Losing land is the last stroke in a series of strokes of dispossession and displacement by people who said they came to liberate us without mentioning that they also wanted to use our resources to capture the Rwanda State and Uganda State.
