{UAH} Speaker late Oulanyah profile

Mao whose ambition has always been to be the patent of Uganda,  was guild president in 1990 at makerere.

Oulanyah was his speaker.

Dorothy Nangwale a guild cabinet minister. Dorothy was UPC royalty from the East!

Post uni they rented on the same muzigo.

Oulanyah was UPC. Their cabinet was anti government. Mayombo who also had presidential ambitions later died of fulminant pancreatitis despite being spirited off in the presidential jet line oulanyah was in the UA bombardier, the vanquished.

In 1990, they led a students strike.  Museveni deployed military disguised as police. 

Two students Okello and Okello were killed on that day. These were the first shootings at a protest under the NRM.

Mao took off while Oulanya was beaten and left for dead with his intestines out. That day was Dec 10, 1990.

Mao and Oulanyah went on to represent a young lady in Gulu who accused the NRA of stripping, raping and shaving her pubes. There are photos on the web if one looks for them. That case was a disaster and instead the alleged victim went to jail for many years. 

Interestingly Oulanyah, formally "conc" UPC, became an NRM tool and presided over the most odious laws that even kadaga couldn't get herself to preside over. She always found some reason to be overseas at those times!

Eventually he took over from kadaga in a hostile bid funded and approved by their master and killed kadagas political future.  Now she's marking time for her own pension

It's quite possible that Oulanyah was marking time as a sleeper waiting his time for revenge.  Becoming speaker constitutionally put him within a heart beat of the presidency currently occupied by an octogenarian!

Oulanyah apparently never spoke of the events of Dec 10th which tells you a lot. These things aren't buried so easily!

In the end that moment has been snatched from his hands by death. No wonder Mao is so distraught! His chariot just got shot down from the skies. Unless he can find some way of hitching a ride onto it!

Life ... wealth, power, guns, man's plans ... it's all vanity! An illusion in the end!
