Bobi Wine killed the hopes and chances of opposition.
If there is any one still with hopes in the current opposition leadership to lead them into power is doomed, It could have been intentional or unintentional but the struggle waned with the emergence of Bobi Wine
The transition from Dr. Paul Semogerere to Kizza Besigye was embraced by fairly almost everyone in the opposition. As a matter of fact KB attempted fairly well to unite the opposition, The whole struggle crumbled when Bobi Wine emerged and started to fight his fellow opposition members' political programmes.
Bobi wine emerged with the crumbling of the DP-bloc which was initially aimed at uniting all the DP splinter groups. It was intended to bolster up the opposition. He then took on KB by branding him a M7 mole and literally demolished him. I think you all recall how he sabotaged KB's recently launched red card front campaign.
You recall that during the hey days of Dr Kizza Besigye leading opposition, the state was always on tenterhooks.There was almost an activity every week. The city was turned into an army garrison.There was always tear gas in different parts of the country. It was actually the time when we identified different types of teargas; the coloured, the itchy and the stinky ones etc..
Today one can hardly see anything like opposition political activity in the city or anywhere in country because of Bobi Wine phenomenon.
Recently, Bobi Wine tried to attract public attention at the burial of Hon. Nambeshe's father, the Opposition Chief Whip. The population nearly lynched him. That was unheard of during the days of KB. He has virtually killed all the opposition programmes. Ironically, he has not come up with any viable alternative.
In a bid to remain the only bull in the kraal, he has not spared his fellow NUP members. You recall what NUP did to Hon.Abed Bwanika when the latter proposed to rescue prisoners by talking to the State.They guy was nearly skinned alive. Today Bwanika can not step a foot at NUP headquarters unless he has death wish.
It is an open secret that Chairman Nobert Mao and company successfully negotiated the release of over 60 prisoners through IPOD. Bobi has instead been heartless. He has reached the extent of letting his fellow party members rot in prison as long as it serves his selfish ends.
Those who are still following Bobi Wine are doomed.
