New York Times tries to paint Elon Musk as racist who ‘grew up in elite white communities in South Africa’

The left is back to its unethical game of crying racism in order to spark outrage, pushback, and if they get their way, force the ‘cancellation’ of Elon Musk and his purchase of Twitter. The New York Times wrote what is an obvious hit piece on the billionaire, discussing his childhood in South Africa.

 

“Elon Musk grew up in elite white communities in South Africa, detached from apartheid’s atrocities surrounded by anti-Black propaganda” wrote The Times. “He sees his takeover of Twitter as a free speech win but in his youth did not suffer the effects of misinformation” the piece continued.

So-called experts were also quoted saying his upbringing may have affected his views on racism. Then the piece goes completely AWOL  when it leads to the conclusion that it all somehow is a glimpse into how he may run Twitter.

Musk’s mother, model Maye Musk defended her son as well as his childhood on Twitter: “In South Africa, if you publicly opposed apartheid, you went to jail. In Russia, if you publicly oppose the war, you go to jail. @nytimes are you going to blame children for decisions made by governments?”

One Twitter user wrote “this is one of the most unethically cringe & toxically stupid smears the @nytimes has ever published. Shame on you, you sociopathic ghouls. On Friday a Florida pension fund filed a complaint in a suit against Musk and Twitter in an attempt stop Musk’s purchase.

“In a complaint filed in Delaware Chancery Court, the Orlando Police Pension Fund said that under Delaware law Musk cannot complete the takeover until at least 2025 unless holders of two-thirds of shares not ‘owned’ by him approved” reported The New York Post.
