The president of Uganda, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has challenged graduates to avoid rushing for quick riches which may result into corruption as they join the employment world.
Speaking at the Bishop Stuart University graduation ceremony, Rtd Maj Jessica Alupo the Vice president, who represented the president as the guest of honor urged graduates to be patriotic and be active participants in the fight against corruption by relevantly using skills acquired from school to find solutions to challenges affecting the society.
Speaking at the same function, Bishop Dr. Sheldon Mwesigwa, the University chancellor told graduates that the qualifications they got are not enough to make them succeed and asked the graduands not to settle but go for further studies as the world is constantly changing every day.
Prof Mauda Kamatenesi, the University Vice Chancellor challenged the graduands to go and change the situation in Uganda, Africa and world for better living.
Mwine Mpaka Rwamirama, the Mbarara city south legislator who was one of the guests noted that Uganda unemployment levels are high and urged parents to provide startup capital to their children to start their own businesses instead of looking for jobs after graduation.
