{UAH} In Ukraine and global food crisis

Been asking myself why present global food situation  is all being blamed on Russia-Ukraine war.

Am I correct to conclude its been Ukraine alone feeding rest of the world - where food isn't food without wheat from Ukraine?.

In my primary school days Canada was the top most wheat producer as learnt in geography classes.

Wonders always hit native white Canadians that I knew about the Canadian Prairies, the Saint Lawrence River and Seaway, Lumbering in British Columbia way before coming to Canada and often, or rather, always more than they know

Ukraine may as well give itself a pat on the back for knowing its all along been the bread basket of the entire world.

Next time I return to my native K'moja I will take it upon myself to educate and tell the ngi'Mojong that little did they know without cattle rustling there would be no real beef in Uganda.

Now that's something ngi'Mojong should be dayiummm proud about. After all, K'moja beef is way tastier and more "yummylicious" than the lazy walking long horn Ankle cows that pose environmental disasters with their horns littering Kampala streets, hoods and suburbs

Which reminds me of the 70's. Schools ran out of glue.

Yeap. I mean glue and if you were involved you would have known glue was a very important ingredient for Arts And Crafts classes.

Our Iteso Headmaster was fortunately the Science teacher who discovered and developed a rapid solution to the school's glue deficiency. My school and most in K'moja were dominated by our UAH Prof Okurut type - men and voluptuous women who tormented classroom work with their perfect English and above all, their unsettled backsides.

They were all in K'moja for what I understood was all about some extra pay to teachers during the region  called "Karamoja Allowance". Meanimg K'moja teachers earned more than teachers in other parts of Kagutastan

Fast forward, the discovery of glue substitute was in cow horns and hoofs.

Yeap. Horns and hoofs

How we produced glue from them was a science that revolutionized Arts And Crafts classes. The only problem though, was that the process often triggered high appetite for Molokny bcos of the steaming smell of the delicacy it generated.

Thats was ultimate scientific discovery in Karamojastan.

Driven and motivated by this invention, bird hunters like me went a step further with discovering more substitutes for glue. There was one dangerous process which entailed the use of kerosene/paraffin and white milky sap from cactus.

A few became one-eyed pirates and buccaneers when cactus sap accidentally dropped into their eyes during tapping.

However, the most dangerous part of the process was boiling the sap in kerosene - a process that required 100% focus, attention and concentration

The end result was a thick glue substance that we stretched long and wounded around a stick or twig, climbed up to the top delicate branches of a fruiting tree for birds of all types to get trapped on landing to survey the vicinity before embarking pecking fruits.

They never took off thereafter landing.

The tree climbing were themselves very risky but the most exciting part was simply harvesting glued birds off the shining and sticky glue sticks

Some bird birds would put up vigorish fights and God forbid its an eagle or vulture. Yest the hilarious side to this was that a trapped eagle would simply stae at a dove with no interest at converting the dove to snack or dinner bcos the overwhelming priority would be how to lift off with claws and wings all glued.

Such was my childhood life expenses in majestic endless Karamoja savanna.
