{UAH} 50th Anniversary of Indian Kickout from their "modalan"
Baboons
I don't know how many of you have been following the biggest "Memorial" event for Ladit Idi Amin esp in the UK
Indians have put up quite a show. The City of Leicester appears to be it's Ground Zero. Apparently the city was dying until the miracle of Indian Kickout, aka expulsion from Uganda - courtesy of LAdit Amin - resuscitated to give it new life which has since blossomed beyond expectation
I just watched an exhibition on Afrive News TV channel dedicated to this ongoing event. Indians across the UK have donated memorabilia that would annoy Uganda to want them back like colonial stolen artifacts.
But one set - brand new - of Bank of Uganda notes of the time caught my attention. They are the most attractive bills I have ever seen though remember little on how they looked since I was a hunter-gatherer in the days but they still jolted my memory. How the Indian made out with Uganda currency without being shot on the spot is what I dont know.
The endless "Born In Uganda" appearances of Indian teachers and nurses of the time sent me squinting for the few teachers I knew but I nearly lost my remaining eyesight straining to recognize them. After all. Indians are very deficient in names. The millions share just a few names in common with Patel leading.
Amazingly the teachers and nurses mention where they practiced but none mention Moroto.
Matter of fact, Karamoja Indians never fled to. They simply rolled over in bed waking up in Kenya. My parents and I visited one family from Moroto in Kacheliba. Kenya just to confirm they survived only to find nearly every Indian we knew.
But follow on Indian expulsion if you can esp if your have Android tv with Africa channels
