{UAH} Odinga Senior passed on leadership to Odinga junior!

The curse you are all talking about is creation of the enemies of Luo Nation, Baba and Odinga family.

My grandfather the late Mzee Solomon Apunda had a very tight connection  with the Odinga family before his death.

So here is His side of the story.

In 1991 , Jaramogi Oginga Odinga  converged and chaired a meeting  between his two sons , Raila Odinga( Wuon Akeyo) and Oburu Odinga  and several Luo elders including my Grandfather the Late Apunda at Kang'o Ka Jaramogi (Opoda)

I'm told after eating and drinking, Jaramogi asked Raila to stand and greet the elders , 

He then introduced him to the elders, 

He didn't stop at that, He looked directly at Raila Odinga and addressed him personally ,

'' Chuma Liet oke Kuma bor, I'm getting , very old, but very restless because I didn't finish the task that was given to me  by my people, next year am going  for an election, but be sure am going to lose , it's going to be the an  election that'll stamp an everlasting humiliation from our enemies, I'm going to this election not to win but to lose so that the enemies will laugh and mock my family and the Luo Nation''

''Sibuor, I've tried my level best, but the enemies have won, I lost everything pursuing a just society, I lost a prize pursuing inclusivity, I lost a prize chasing after a United Nation''

''Ruath, look at me your Father , they say you resemble me, but When I look at you , I see a heart more calm, welcoming and  with empathy than mine, when I look at Oburu, He's more fierce but without the charisma of leading a Nation, He is your elder brother but don't forsake him when you are climbing ladders of achievements''

'' Sibuor, I pass the mantle to you, I want you to know that you will achieve more things than I , because you have my blessings, I foresee and prophecy that You will climb the Leadership of this Land even if its only for one Hour, My soul will not rest until that's done''

'' I named you after my Mother , a good woman, remember three things and hold them deeply, 1- Do not kill for power' I your Father I'm going to the grave empty handed because I refused to kill for power, if you have to kill in order to get power, refuse , 2- Don't grab the property of the society, be content with what you earn and invest , don't starve a Nation for your personal gains, 3- Be honest and forgiving , I your Father forgave all our enemies, people who tormented me.
