{UAH} A Japanese girl said “MUTESO” to me

With 90% certainty it was motesou (持てそう).
Which is a pretty nice
compliment to get in everyday Japanese.

Moteru (持てる) is related to motsu (持つ / to hold), but in the casual register it is almost exclusively used with its secondary meaning "to be popular", and for people specifically so in the dating sense.

Combining a verb with -sou then further adds a layer of assumption/observation, meaning the speaker is now talking about how something objectively seems or looks to be fit for <verb>. So, taken very literally, she said "you seem like you would be popular (when dating)."

(Such a seeming most commonly refers to visual properties, but occasionally may also refer to just-observed personality or behavior.)

This may sound strangely indirect to a foreigner, but in Japanese casual talk, "motesou" is actually a pretty natural and common way of telling someone that he/she is attractive.

Long story short: she basically told you "my, aren't you a treat!"

And that… is probably as direct a (honest) compliment as you will ever hear in Japanese, buddy.
