{UAH} POSITIVE THINGS DONE BY IDI AMIN
POSITIVE THINGS DONE BY IDI AMIN
1.Indigenous Ugandans could not get commercial bank loans easily except the landed aristocracy. He started UDB to give business people loans.
2.The Source of the Nile Agricultural Show in Jinja, was started by Amin as a learning ground.
3.He bought 500 railway wagons for the EAR&H.
4.He bought 200 elongated buses for metropolitan Kampala from Yugoslavia and drove one of them at their inauguration.
5. He bought buildings for Uganda's embassies in London and New York in prime areas. In New York it was next to the UN Hdqtrs.
6. He completed Uganda House in Kampala plus several other projects under construction.
7. And offcourse he gave the natives the economy. In August, I told the BBC in an interview that prior to August 1972, Black Africans were considered third class citizens as far as the economy was concerned. At the top of the heap were whites, then Indians, then the blacks.
