{UAH} Kenya's Kasavuli, America's Barbara Watters die - top female journalists
Folks;
December is becoming the deadliest month for sports and entertainment personalities!
Kenya's top TV journalist, Catherine Kasavuli passed on yesterday.
Catherine was a pioneer female journalist, having entered the profession in 1981 at the tender age of 19. With her big eyes, broad smiles, and a head full of dark, glowing hair, Ms. Kasavuli quickly won viewers' attention, joining the ranks of her senior colleagues such Elizabeth Obege, Elizabeth Omolo, Rosemary Msumba, Ogao Pat Roberts, and even the leading-man, Rapheal Tuju.
Today, US has lost another trailblazing journalist, Barbara Watters.
Nearly a year to the day, US lost football great, John Madden, (Dec 28), and America's favorite grandma, the incredible actress Betty White on Dec 31. Two days ago, another sports giant, Pele, left this world, and now, Barbara Watters is gone, too.
With her distinct voice and persistent line of questioning, Ms. Watters was a respected inquisitor, who was rarely satisfied with the answers she got, but never went for the jugular, and thus left the viewers to decide whether her guests were truthful in their exchange. Now, that's a class act.
Rest In Peace, Ms. Kasavuli and Rest In Peace, Ms. Watters.
