{UAH} This is what you are choosing when you get married in community of property

"This is what you are choosing when you get married in community of property, the list is not exhaustive.

You are choosing that if your marriage end up in divorce, your ex to be must be awarded half of all your pension funds calculated from the date that you started to contribute, not from the date of the marriage.

You are also choosing that if you have a house that you acquired before or during the marriage, be it that you bought or inherited it, the house must be sold and 50% of the sale proceeds must be given to your ex to be, alternatively you can buy your ex to be out of your own house in this manner,  your house is evaluated to get it's net market value and then you pay your ex to be 50% of that value.

In many cases, your ex is the one who uses your pension funds (50% that he or she received from your pension funds) to buy you out of your own house.

Should you die before your spouse, your children are not going to be able to inherit your house and have full ownership of your house.  You can only bequeath what belongs to you, which is 50%, the other 50% belongs to your spouse, even if you were married for 5 minutes.

In many cases, people are dying Intestate and the surviving spouse is inheriting everything that the deceased parent owned.

When you die, your partner can proceed to marry another woman or man in community of property just like you did with him or her when you chose community of property. After that your spouse may die living the stepfather or stepmother as the owner of your house and sending your kids to Marabastad.

It sounds like something that will never happen to you or to your children ne?
