{UAH} Ngouma Lokito aka Shungu Omba

Ngouma Lokito was born Shungu Omba in Lumumbashi, DRC. He was nicknamed "ngouma lokito" or "the power of the bass" when he began to play bass guitar ๐ŸŽธ๐ŸŽธfor a local band called "Minzoto wela wela" in 1977. It's the same band which took him on a whirlwind tour of Europe and Africa in 1984. Rhumba and soukous diehards tend to adore only lead vocalists as well as solo guitarists but Ngouma Lokito has built his bass guitar prowess that he has  been added another nickname "Le professeur" or "the professor"...definitely for bass guitar. This followed the successful tour of Europe and Africa as a member of Choc stars and Bozi Boziana's Anti Choc band in the late 1980s.  Soukous Stars is considered his brainchild and infact the band's successful albums such as "Leddy"(1990), "Waby"(1992) and "Talisman" were his compositions. He has been featured on numerous albums associated with music heavyweights such as Koffi Olomide, Madilu System, Bozi Boziana, Tshala Muana, Kanda Bongoman, Alain konkou, etc. Infact his name is mentioned in several hits from DRC. His bass guitar ๐ŸŽธ skill has enabled him play in more than 40 countries that include USA, South America, Europe, Canada and almost all of Africa. Indeed he's among the musicians who have used their God-given talent to the maximum.

Old, poor, uneducated, grumpy and with rotten village behaviours need not be allowed in civilized world.
