{UAH} Philly Lutaya Vs Kenzo

"Philly at his best - I attended the last concert at Sheraton gardens  1989.. This song brought tears to all of us . Some of us who had seen Philly before in his good days realised he was indeed going to die as he was too sick . Eddy Kenzo cannot compare himself to this category of musicians in uganda . Philly was a great Artist but for me the greatest of all in Uganda is the late Peterson Mutebi with his Tames band . Mutebi dominated the radio Uganda airwaves for years but unfortunately this generation don't know much about his music. I will share some of his music later . Rip Peterson Mutebi and Philly Lutaya"

He has promised to share Mutebi 's music, because I've never heard of him.

Personally, I think Lutaya Philly is a legend in our music, and I don't know why Kenzo is comparing himself to the late. I have never longed for Kenzo's music in my leisure time, but I wouldn't say the same thing about Lutaya's. His " jangu tugende eKampala ' song brings nostalgic memories a bit.

People aren't great because foreigners like their stuff. People are great because their contributions would probably outlive them. Kenzo's greatness will probably be assessed in the next 20 years when he will be either an old man or dead.
