{UAH} The LEGENGARY SOUKOUS STARS

Lokassa Ya Mbongo, Ballou Canta and Shimita El Diego formed the Soukous Stars with master guitarist Dally Kimoko in 1989-1990.  Later on they were joined by Zitany Neil, Shunga Omba aka Ngouma Lokito and Denise Yondo Kusala aka Yondo Sister. The band performed the latest Congolese grooves and dance crazes from Kinshasa. 

As the years passed, Soukous Stars became more famous. Over the years, other talented artists joined the group, such as Nyboma, Luciana De Mingongo, Pierre Belcos, Lucien Bokilo, from Congo- Brazza, Saladin and Arsene Kounde from Benin, and Joseph Koujojo from Cameroun. They also backed megastar Bialu Madilu System.
