This Pride Month: America Pushes Back

CV NEWS FEED // During this year's "Pride Month," Americans are pushing back against the LGBTQ movement in a groundswell of parental activism such as CatholicVote's "Hide the Pride" Campaign.

CatholicVote describes Hide the Pride as "a parent-led movement to empty local taxpayer-funded libraries of progressive sex- and gender-related content aimed at children."

Parents across the U.S. have emptied their local libraries' "Pride" displays this month, often replacing the "Pride" books with wholesome ones. 

"This year's campaign proved that parents would not stand idly by while LGBTQ operatives exposed children to explicit material in taxpayer-funded libraries," said CatholicVote Associate Editor Erika Ahern. "Even liberal news sites admitted CatholicVote's campaign has been 'extremely successful.'"

The parents participating in Hide the Pride are not alone. More and more parents, teachers, and concerned citizens are speaking openly against the LGBTQ movement's increasing focus on minors. 

According to the latest Gallup polling data, Americans today are less supportive than they were two years ago of the LGBTQ agenda.

"A majority, 55%, consider 'changing one's gender' to be more 'morally wrong,' while 43% say it is 'morally acceptable,'" the poll found. More people now believe 'changing one's gender' is morally wrong, and fewer now believe it is 'morally acceptable. In 2021, 51% of respondents" thought changing one's gender was morally wrong, and 46% morally acceptable."

Another poll found that 65% of Americans believe there are only two genders — an increase of six percentage points in the past two years alone.

Sarah Parshall Perry reported at The Daily Signal that "parents and kids are both flexing their muscles in opposition to schools that are all in on 'Pride.'"

This year, children have protested "Pride" videos in math classes, rainbow-filled school halls, and an 18-year-old boy identifying as "trans" and stripping in a girls' locker room. 

"More and more parents are standing up for their rights and defending their children's hearts and minds," said Ahern. 

"For once, the alphabet mob is back on its heels," wrote Perry. "But only because taxpaying parents and their brave kids are speaking up."
