Global Surge: Over 300 Immigrants From West Africa Breach U.S. Border And Enter This State

In a recent incident, over 300 immigrants, predominantly from West Africa, unlawfully breached the United States border near Lukeville, Arizona, a phenomenon that Border Patrol agents describe as a daily event, Breitbart News reports.

The large group, which included individuals from Peru, India, Ecuador, and several Middle Eastern nations, will be released into the U.S. unless a criminal record is revealed in a background check.

Footage from the scene depicts the migrants, primarily military-aged men unaccompanied by families, assembling near the Organ Pipe Monument National Reserve along the border wall. They navigated through open storm drainage gates before proceeding to a nearby water station and a gathering area where Border Patrol officials initiated the initial stages of processing the group.

A significant portion of the approximately 300 migrants, who undertook the lengthy journey to the US-Mexico border from outside the hemisphere, were unable to communicate in Spanish or English. Some who identified themselves as Senegalese were conversant in French and a smattering of English, while others communicated in Hindi and Arabic.

According to Border Patrol, there has been a substantial increase in the number of illegal immigrants from outside the hemisphere. Breitbart News reports that the number of migrants from the Islamic Republic of Mauritania apprehended this fiscal year has surged by over 6,000 percent compared to the same period in 2022. Additionally, there has been a 1,400 percent increase in the detention of Egyptians at the southwest border this year compared to the previous year.

A Border Patrol agent, speaking to Breitbart, lamented, "The constant barrage of migrants surrendering leaves us little else to do but replenish supplies, arrange for transport to the station, process, and get ready for the next day." The agent revealed that a group of similar size had illegally entered the day before and subsequently surrendered to Border Patrol.

After collecting basic biographical data, Border Patrol officers divided the migrants into groups for transportation to a processing center. Agents maintain that Lukeville continues to experience a steady influx of migrants from around the globe.

The Biden administration has seen record-breaking numbers of illegal border crossings due to the president's open border policies, leading to a humanitarian crisis affecting cities nationwide.
