{UAH} River Katonga in Uganda !

Of all the rivers completely located in Uganda, river Katonga is the longest with a length of approximately 220 kilometers flowing from Lake Victoria to Lake George. 

River Katonga is located in south western Uganda traversing Mpigi, Gomba, Butambala, Mityana, Sembabule, Mubende, Kiruhura and many other districts along its main course and the vegetation around it is mainly savanna and acacia shrubs. 

Around this river, you will also find the Katonga wildlife reserve a good spot for your Uganda wildlife safari as it homes a number of animals like black and white colobus monkeys, otters, antelopes and a number of birds which are specific to wetlands.  

The river as well has a lot of beliefs associated to it as you will be told by your guide or by the present residents and some of these are interesting while others are scaring.
