The Disturbing Truth Behind Kamala Harris's Track Record: Why Catholics Are Sounding the Alarm

Prominent Catholic leaders from organizations such as Students for Life of America, the Lepanto Institute, and American Life League have voiced their concerns over Kamala Harris's track record of opposing Catholic values.
They argue that her stance poses a significant threat to religious freedoms.

The Biden-Harris administration's use of the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act has been a particular point of contention.
This 1994 law, which prohibits interference with anyone obtaining or providing “reproductive health services,” was weaponized by the Department of Justice (DOJ) following the Supreme Court's reversal of Roe v. Wade in June 2022.
Post the Supreme Court ruling, the Biden-Harris administration established the DOJ-led Reproductive Rights Task Force to enforce the FACE Act. The Epoch Times reports that the Act has been invoked 130 times against pro-life individuals, compared to a mere three times against pro-abortion protesters.
The Biden-Harris DOJ has also been accused of targeting Catholics who attend the Traditional Latin Mass, labeling them as "extremists" and allegedly infiltrating Catholic parishes with operatives. Furthermore, a memo released by Attorney General Merrick Garland and the DOJ labeled parents opposing the introduction of radical gender ideology in classrooms as domestic terrorists.
The administration has also attempted to compel hospitals and doctors, including Catholic ones, to participate in transgender surgeries and perform abortions.
Harris's personal record of targeting pro-lifers and Catholics has been a cause for concern.
Lifesite reports that during her tenure as California's attorney general, Harris targeted Catholic pro-life journalist David Daleiden following his release of videos that depicted Planned Parenthood executives discussing the sale of aborted baby body parts. She also backed a bill, later overturned by the Supreme Court, that would have forced pro-life pregnancy centers to inform women about where they could obtain abortions.
As a U.S. senator, Harris criticized a judicial nominee and member of the Knights of Columbus, attacking the organization for its leadership's opposition to abortion and so-called homosexual “marriage.”
She was also once ranked the most liberal senator in the U.S. Harris opposes the right of religious companies, such as Hobby Lobby, to opt-out of providing abortifacient birth control.
Reagan Barklage, the national field director of Students for Life of America and a Catholic herself, described Harris as an “unrepentant apologist for abortion.” Michael Hichborn of the Lepanto Institute told Lifesite, “Harris’ entire disposition is directed in complete contravention with the Catholic Church.”
Hichborn further stated, “By holding membership in the Knights of Columbus as a litmus test for one’s judicial qualifications, Harris may as well dismiss anyone claiming to be a faithful Catholic.”
He added that for Harris to demonstrate that she holds no animosity toward Catholics, Christians, or even social conservatives, she would need to denounce the majority of her political career and apologize for her bigoted comments.
Echoing these sentiments, American Life League President Judy Brown stated, “Harris has never stood for morality, ethics or truth.”
