U.S. Secret Service On THIN Ice: Whistleblowers Expose SHOCKING Security Failures At Trump Rally

In a startling revelation, whistleblowers have disclosed to the House Judiciary Committee that the United States Secret Service (USSS) was grappling with "limited resources" as it was tasked with providing security for the NATO summit in Washington DC.

This disclosure comes at a time when the agency is under intense scrutiny following the attempted assassination of Donald Trump at a rally in Pennsylvania last Saturday.

According to The Post Millennial, the Judiciary Committee has been conducting an oversight of the attempted assassination of President Donald J. Trump on July 13, 2024, and the subsequent investigative actions taken by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). "The Committee on the Judiciary is conducting oversight of the attempted assassination of President Donald J. The whistleblowers have further revealed that the USSS had led two briefings on July 8, 2024, with the Western Pennsylvania Fusion Center (WPFC) and other stakeholders, to discuss the upcoming visits by President Trump and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden. "The USSS Special Agent in Charge Tim Burke reportedly told law enforcement partners that the USSS had limited resources that week because the agency was covering the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) summit in Washington, DC. FBI personnel were present at those briefings," the letter added.

The alleged assassin, 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, managed to position himself on a building approximately 150 yards away from Trump with a rifle, despite being labeled a person of interest by the USSS and security on the scene. ABC News reported that Crooks was on the roof 20 minutes before the shots were fired. His parents had alerted the police about their son prior to the rally.

The USSS Director, Kimberly Cheatle, has been facing mounting pressure to resign due to the security lapses leading up to the attempted assassination. Prominent Republican Senators Marsha Blackburn, John Barrasso, James Lankford, and Kevin Cramer confronted her following a Senate briefing on the matter.

The Judiciary Committee's letter urged FBI Director Christopher Wray to "ensure that the Committee can effectively evaluate these matters during [his] testimony on July 24, 2024." It further requested that Wray be prepared to fully address all questions about the attempted assassination of President Trump and the FBI's investigation of it. This incident underscores the need for a thorough review of security protocols and resource allocation within the USSS, particularly during high-profile events.
