ILLEGAL Child Sex Offenders Are HIDING Among Us And We NEED To Be SCARED!

In a recent opinion editorial by Daniel Horowitz, published by The Blaze, the author draws attention to the issue of illegal alien sex offenders in the United States.

Horowitz criticizes liberal think tanks and media figures for downplaying the presence of dangerous illegal aliens in the country, arguing that they are not merely hard-working individuals seeking better lives, but also include a significant number of child sex offenders.

Horowitz cites a report from Fox45 Baltimore, which reveals that Baltimore County has a disproportionately high number of illegal alien child sex offenders. The report, based on public records, shows that the Baltimore County state's attorney filed 99 child sex crime cases between January 1, 2023, and May 31, 2024. Of these, nine defendants were illegal immigrants from Central American countries. Horowitz argues that this is a significant number for such a short period, especially considering that Baltimore County does not have a large population of Central American illegal immigrants compared to other counties in Maryland and Virginia.

The author further highlights a 2019 report that found that more than 331 illegal aliens were charged with 1,172 child rapes and sexual assaults in just 30% of North Carolina counties over an 18-month period from 2018-2019. In the 2018 fiscal year alone, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement service arrested illegal aliens charged with 6,888 sex offenses, 5,350 sexual assaults, and 1,739 "commercialized sexual assaults."

Horowitz also refers to a press conference held by then-ICE Director Matt Albence in January 2020, where Albence reported that criminals against whom ICE detainers were lodged accounted for 17,873 criminal convictions and another 6,500 criminal charges in New York City for FY 2019. These included 200 homicides, over 500 robberies, over 1,000 sexual offenses, over 1,000 weapons offenses, over 3,500 assaults, and over 1,500 DUIs.

The author criticizes the lack of enforcement of existing laws, stating that 7.4 million illegal immigrants are on ICE's "undetained docket," most of whom likely have criminal records in addition to immigration violations. He argues that with only 6,000 ICE agents, it is impossible to identify and deport all criminal aliens without significant help from state and local law enforcement.

Horowitz calls for red states to authorize the deportation of criminal aliens upon their first arrest and for states to implement sentencing enhancements for crimes committed by people in the country illegally. He criticizes blue jurisdictions like Baltimore County for preferring more lenient sentences.

The author highlights the case of Luis Portillo-Henriquez, an illegal alien convicted of repeatedly raping a 14-year-old girl. Despite being arrested four times for drunk driving or driving with a suspended license, Portillo-Henriquez was not sentenced until he missed his court date on the fourth arrest. He received a one-year sentence.

Horowitz concludes by calling for Republican-controlled states to enact laws requiring police to check immigration status for driving violations and mandate self-repatriation or enhanced sentencing for those here illegally. He criticizes Maryland officials for reducing Portillo-Henriquez's sentence from 25 years to just 18 months, and for allowing another illegal alien arrested for child sex crimes, Jose Mejia, to avoid prison time. He argues that child rape is one of the most heinous crimes imaginable and is also the most avoidable crime when committed by illegal aliens who could have been removed from the country.
