{UAH} TRUMP CAMPAIGN ANNOUNCES PLANS FOR SCHEDULING DEBATES

Trump Campaign Announces Plans For Scheduling Debates

The Trump campaign has declared that it will not finalize the details for the presidential debate until the Democrats have officially chosen their nominee.

This statement comes amid claims that several party members, including former President Barack Obama, are still hoping for a better candidate.

According to The Post Millennial, Fox News extended invitations to the campaigns of former President Donald Trump and Kamala Harris on Wednesday. The proposed debate was slated for September 17 in Pennsylvania, a mere week after the previously scheduled ABC debate. This earlier debate was initially planned between Trump and the now-withdrawn candidate, President Joe Biden, who announced his resignation from the campaign via a social media post on Sunday. On Thursday, Harris's team confirmed her participation in the ABC debate, but did not respond to the Fox debate invitation.

In a statement, the Trump campaign expressed, “Given the continued political chaos surrounding crooked Joe Biden and the Democrat party, general election debate details cannot be finalized until Democrats formally decide on their nominee.” The statement further elaborated on the uncertainty within the Democratic party, stating, “There is a strong sense by many in the Democrat party, namely Barack Hussein Obama, that Kamala Harris is a Marxist fraud who cannot beat President Trump and they are still holding out for someone better. Therefore it would be inappropriate to schedule things with Harris because Democrats very well could still change their minds.”

The New York Post reported on Wednesday that former President Barack Obama has yet to endorse Kamala Harris's presidential bid, citing a source close to the Biden family. The source claimed that Obama is “very upset because he knows she can’t win.” Despite this, both Barack and Michelle Obama have publicly endorsed Harris. "Michelle and I called our friend Kamala Harris. We told her we think she’ll make a fantastic President of the United States, and that she has our full support," Obama wrote.

The general election season's first debate took place much earlier than usual this election cycle. The CNN-hosted debate on June 27 was marked by stringent rules that seemed designed to favor Biden. These included the absence of an audience, limited media presence, a strict two-minute time limit for questions, and the muting of microphones at the end of each candidate's response time. Following Biden’s poor performance, he was pressured to withdraw from the race by Democrat leaders, including Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi, with alleged behind-the-scenes support from his former boss, President Barack Obama.

The Trump campaign's reluctance to finalize debate details reflects the uncertainty within the Democratic party. With the former President's resignation and the party's apparent lack of confidence in Harris, it remains to be seen who will ultimately represent the Democrats in the upcoming presidential debate.
