{UAH} VP Kamala's Double Dutch Clutch

In the amazing spirit of Sojourner Truth's strength and boldness, coupled with Harriet Tubman's insight and erudite gifts, "Black Girl Magic" has reigned supreme and dominated the spotlight mesmerizing the entire world in the second quarter of 2024. They have done it with such brevity, brilliance and an innate double dutch clutch,as never seen before on the American frontier. 

It is as if the Gods have put them in positions of favor to fulfill the prophetic lyrics from their poets and music Divas - that have for decades softened and serenaded the minds and hearts of the entire World, subliminally telling us that their moment is coming and they shall deliver gold when given a chance. 

We are witnessing what our great athletes have told us all along that the machine that has propelled them to greatness is a species of enormous strength, courage and wisdom like no other, they are gifted with a double dutch clutch which releases them to unparalleled heights when opportunity lends.

Who can deny Condoleeza Rice's brilliant analysis on the "Great Powers conflicts" and a position at the National Security table, she can make a mean cornbread and talk about Soviet "Wolf Warrior Strategies" or biological weapons and AI in the same breath, that is the double dutch clutch advantage they all bring onboard from Simone Biles, Sophia Smith, Naya Tapper to the USA women's track team of Gartner, Felix, Bartoletta and Bowie, when these champions play they play to win and they will do it over and over again.

Their bold attitude and winning spirit is trending and it has drawn enormous attention as the current meme on all air waves- it challenges the entire World to look at Black women closely not through the chauvinistic and condescending DEI  lenses, but rather markedly through the poetic lens of Maya Angello - "just like dust I will rise" - inspired by  Sojourner Truth's, Ain't I a Woman" who is paid less courtesy, when I work and produce just as much as men on any given plantation"speech at a Women's Rights convention in 1851. 

 The reality is, for any platform of need, whether it is at an oil rig,Presidential office, or at the national security team level, commanding a Naval warship or being an astronaut like Mae Carol Jemison -Black women have risen and won gold in both physical and intellectual matters, when given a chance to compete at the olympics and in ordinary competitive arenas - you'll be amazed how they get you there! 

We are witnessing the lyricists prophecy "Why waste your time you know you gonna be mine" , from Billie Holiday -"God bless the child", Mahalia Jakson's "How  I got over" to Aretha's "Respect in General " songs that have serenaded the world over as predictors of this" moment in time" -Whitney Houston- to now Beyonce's Freedom jaunt announcing Kamala's arrival at heavily attended political rallies. 

 This challenge and show of incredible strength was kicked off by Vice President Kamala Harris, when she announced in mid July -2024, after President Joe Biden's stunning decision not to seek a second term in office. Vice President Kamala Harris -got his endorsement and wasted no time asking the American Polity to strongly consider her for the Presidency and she also asked her Democratic caucus to let her become the sole nominee, winning many hearts and endorsements from thousands of her caucus electors. In a domino-like turn of events she raised more than one hundred and twenty million dollars within 48 hours - a herculean fit never seen before in one of the oldest Republics. 

Hilary Clinton, Geraldine Feraro,Carly Fiorina, Condoleeza Rice, Susan Rice, Carol Mosley Braun,Stacey Abrahams and now Kamala Harris, have all come out to show us that -"yes" they stand on shoulders of great women like Abigail Adams who might have not fully  envisioned this moment in history to signify the very end of the suffrage movement that they began in 1776 - with a letter reminding hubby John Adams to allow them to vote. 

Two and a half centuries later her successors of the movement later begged for the passing of the Equal Rights Amendment in the 1980s. For 200 years they have been patiently marking and celebrating their rather slow achievements- "First to become moments", and today they are asking the American people to let them burst through the last CEO barriers and claim the presidency of the greatest nation on earth.

Like the exploration of deep space, Americans did not stop just at the first step on the moon, their crafts are continually exploring the Universe. So shall it be with the political landscape, the gender movement cannot be denied this unique opportunity to fulfill their CEO destiny. 

As the quarter winds down and the streaming of the Paris Olympics to the World's living rooms is now done, we are mighty glad that for a moment we were whisked away from all the stories of gloom and doom and our preoccupation with the predatory manner with which some men relate to women, an invite to  escape to a positive stories shelter was enjoyed by the entire family at the dinner table without being asked by our children to break down rather tough scenarios currently depicted in the news.

It is our hope that the shelter will continue to provide that reprieve as the DNC guides and leads Vice President Kamala Harris to the victory line. The reprieve shelter not only showcased women's sports as the thing to sponsor and watch interestingly for the future of sports, it makes  economic sense, since women live longer and are not easily assuaged from their locked positions on teams.

 The Rugby Teams reminded us of their strength and capabilities in competing. It was also a stark reminder to all of us to take a second look at our very own neglected Women's teams in the United States-where they patiently wait for a government and corporate helping hand.  Go Kamala!
