{UAH} What Homa Bay senior citizens undergo to access Sh2,000 monthly stipend | Nation

Kenya pays its orphans, widows, people with disabilities, and the elderly over the age of 70 Kenya Sh.2,000 monthly. That is US$16 and Uganda Sh.56,900. 

Meanwhile its "oil-rich" western neighbour pays a select few only elderly people Uganda Sh25,000 in non-contributory social pension. I dont have a clue what it is.. And that is Kenya Sh.881 and US$6.90. The minimum wage for employees in Kenya is typically Kenya Sh.94 per hour amounting to Sh.15,200 per month for a typical 45hr work week.

South the Great lake and Kilimanjaro, the minimum wage for employees in Tanzania is typically Tanzania Sh.222 per hour amounting to TZSh.40,000. And that is Uganda Sh.290 and Sh.53,800 respectively 

Coast of living in Kenya for a family of four estimated monthly costs are 1,846.9$ (237,749.6KSh) without rent.  A single person estimated monthly costs are 514.8$ (66,269.8KSh) without rent.

Cost of living in Tamzania for a family of four estimated monthly costs are 1,467.6$ (4,006,081.8TSh) without rent. A single person estimated monthly costs are 425.2$ (1,160,763.1TSh) without rent.

Cost of living in Kagutastan for a family of four estimated monthly costs are 1,833.6$ (6,706,370.7USh). A single person estimated monthly costs are 524.7$ (1,919,037.6USh) without rent.

Question is, how many Ugandans make those ki ds of money and for those who do, how do they make the money?

And Yuri still dreams of an East African one country despite the ginormous disparities.

The arithmetic don't add up...not even close.
