I am a western Canadian. I voted Tory the last two elections. I am not a big fan of Poilievre but I'll take him over whatever comes out to replace Trudeau, who I believe is the worst PM of my lifetime. And I'll argue that with objective data.

I have been an advocate of the U.S for years. I loathe the loony left and their identity politics. I am the guy you want.

And you have completely lost me.

Because you MAGA are not conservative. You are reactionary.

Conservatism has values. They include patriotism, a belief in right and wrong, and government accountability. It means saying what you mean and meaning what you say.

But you MAGA men. You have none of this. None.

You support an unelected South African creating mass unemployment and reducing the ability of the government to provide basic services. Yes I can go along with sacking the DEI compliance officer. It is harder to justify sacking the guys who keep the nukes from going off, or the guys who collect taxes to pay those guys. What sort of conservative accepts that lack of accountability and incompetence?

Let me explain something to you. If you help a man in need solely to receive accolades, then you didn't do it for him. It is an honour to be asked to help someone in need, and a privilege to be able to do it. Doing the right thing requires no thank you. Ike and Reagan both knew that implicitly.

You are bullies. You laugh at, and hate, people on the margins of society and countries that don't have nuclear weapons. You also seem to love people and countries that are the opposite of that.

An agreement with you is worth nothing. You think nothing of lying and backing out of agreements. A man who cannot keep his word is not a man.

You tried to overthrow an election you lost. What kind of a man takes a loss like that? It's a trick question. Someone who behaves in such a manner is by definition still a boy.

I am a patriot. You want to take my country away and turn it in to… whatever straight to DVD Rome you are trying to create. What kind of Canadian Tory would abandon the monarchy for an Orange Caesar.

But, and this is the most damning thing. Conservatives are not stupid. From Edmund Burke to Ronald Reagan conservatism has not been stupid.

But you are. I mean it. You can't fucking read.

130 MILLION of you read at or below a sixth grade level. And you MAGA types are cool with this. You know who wasn't? Barbara Bush. A conservative.

You are reactionaries. You'll buddy up to Russian dictators and North Korean communists. You'll wallow in your own illiteracy. You'll lie, cheat, and steal.

Because you have no values. You simply react to whatever you hate, and you aren't smart enough to know what you hate until you are told.

Teddy Roosevelt spoke softly and carried a big stick. Trump speaks loudly and carries a limp dick.

That isn't a Tory. That isn't Edmund Burke. That is a mob with more people than teeth.
