A reminder America WAS "great" not so long ago ❤️ President Obama and Speaker Boehner couldn't have been farther apart politically. But this moment wasn't about politics…

At the 2014 State of the Union, Obama acknowledged Boehner had achieved the ultimate "American dream" — going from the son of a barkeep to Speaker of the House.

At first, you can tell Boehner is caught off guard that the President of the United States is singling out HIM. 

His face turns red. He flashes a thumb. And then Biden stands — leading a bipartisan ovation 👏🏾
