Sunday, 13 April. Story 4.
--------------------------------------------
Hey P, i am a 28 years old woman. I recently moved to Mzuzu for work. The company that sent me there found a house for me in a certain area which I won't mention. The owner of that house was an old woman who had just died. Her children decided to rent the house so they can all be sharing the rent.
I was the first person to stay in since she passed away. The first night, before i slept I saw strange things. Around 7pm, there was a big rat that stood at the window. I was scared 😱 I hate rats but it ran to one of the bedrooms with its big tail. Then around 9 before I slept, I entered my bedroom...then 5 big cockroaches zaku toilet zija were on my bed. Nthumazi inandigwira. Then they ran away under the bed and just disappeared. I was scared but I forced myself to sleep.
I had a dream that I was dead. And I could see my body. I saw an old woman come to carry my body and throw me outside the house. I had no idea who this woman was. She wore church uniform, i wont say which church. It was a strange dream....
In the morning, I was on my WhatsApp and then I saw my landlord's status. Guess who I saw? That woman. She wore the same clothes in the dream as in the pic my landlord posted. Her caption was keep resting in peace mum. So I asked her when did your mum die. Then I told her my dream.
She started to cry on the phone and said oh God, you should leave that house I will refund your money. Pemphero I was like why? She said that her mother said the house must be passed on to a family member not rented. Apparently, I heard that her husband left "nyanga" which was uncomfortable with strangers.
I left the house the same day. My boss booked me a lodge for one week while we looked for another house. Strange things happen out here.
