Sunday, 6 April. Story 2.

Hie Pemphero. I am a woman in my early 40s. 

A few years ago while my husband was abroad, I got pregnant for another man. I was really confused and told my mum. My mum told me not to abort. My husband was not going to be back for another 2-3 years. He was away for school and had just left. 

When the pregnancy was about to start showing, I took an unpaid leave from work and left my house saying that I had a job in a different city for some months. I travelled to Mzuzu to live with my mum's unmarried younger sister until I gave birth. When the child was born I breast fed him for two months and then went back home. My husband came back home and for years he found out nothing. 

One day my husband did not go to work because he had a headache. And that led to a long illness during which his family went to a witchdoctor. The witchdoctor told them that while my husband was a way I got pregnant and I have a child. The man who made me pregnant wants to kill my husband so that he can marry me and we can live together as a family. 

I was just surprised to see one day my mother in law, father in law and my husband's uncles showed up. They came with a witchdoctor. They grabbed me and tied me up then started spreading herbs around the house while singing a strange song. Then they asked me if it was true? 

I said. So the witchdoctor took a photo of my son (the one with my mom). He said he was going to tear that photo apart. If it's true that he is my son I had while my husband was away, my husband's illness will be transferred to him for the rest of his life. If its not true nothing will happen. Mind you this point my husband wasn't even moving, his legs and arms stopped working. He was bed ridden. 

I was scared and admitted to the whole truth. The moment I admitted, they grabbed my husband and made him drink certain herbs. Soon as he finished just like a miracle my husband walked for the first time in 3 months! 

My marriage ended that same day. I confronted the other guy who got me pregnant and he admitted that indeed he had gone to a witchdoctor to kill my husband 😢I didn't even know that he knew I had his child. Guess what? My aunt in Mzuzu was the one who told him!! 

Fastforward why am I here?? It has been almost 7 years now, my ex husband's illness is in me. I don't walk. My legs are dead. My arms don't work. Even this message, its my sister writing for me Mr Mphande. Every witchdoctor says, the solution is just for my ex husband to forgive me and make me drink herbs that he drunk that day then I will be healed. Otherwise at hospitals there is no help am given, they can't tell what's wrong with me. 

Now my writing to you Pemphero after all these years is because my sister saw my ex husband comment on your page last week and she believes he is your fan and he will listen to you. Can you post this and ask him to forgive me. I did him wrong but never intended to kill him. I am a mother of his 3 children. I have suffered for 7 years. Can he please forgive  me. I want to be able to walk again and live like a normal person. Please 🙏🏾 when my husband sees this, he will know. Praise team join me in asking my ex husband to forgive me 🙏🏾
