Regardless of whether any of the allegations are true or not, it's clear the controversy is overshadowing anything else Toronto city council is doing. Rather than focusing on Toronto's

 

transit expansion, the crumbling Gardiner or city taxes and services, all attention is on the mayor's ongoing troubles.

 

Toronto is the

fourth-largest city in North America and has the sixth-largest economy in Canada. It is home to Canada's financial centre and 85,000 local businesses depend on its ongoing health and stability.

 

With all the controversies swirling around Mayor Ford, would it make sense for him to step aside so the city can focus on growth and prosperity instead of the scandals surrounding him?

This is hardly a Left/Right thing. Even the mayor's most ardent right-wing supporters abandoned his ship some months ago. If this is about the Left attacking the Right, then the only conservatives left in Toronto politics are Rob and Doug Ford!

You mean like the deals that Rob makes where there's city money going to something beneficial to Rob?

reporters are not required to document the names and adresses of all the witneses and release to the public before they print a story. They are required to make sure they have the story right. Why would the Star and every other media source in Canada lie about this. Fabricated storys are a quick end to a career. Why in this case does Fordnation think there is no story without revealing the source.

2 different sources saw the video. Today one of Fords own staff called the cops and told them he knew where the video was. Finally, Ford's own bizarre reaction last week in hiding out all week.
