[UAH] The Public order Management Bill is likely to be passed today after the government and the opposition MPs reached a compromise on some controversial clauses.
The Public order Management Bill is likely to be passed today after the government and the opposition MPs reached a compromise on some controversial clauses.The 18 clause Bill that seeks to regulate public meetings and demonstrations had previously been opposed by human rights activists, the public and opposition MPs on grounds that its likely to infringe on fundamental human rights.
This is Uganda where interests are turned into laws.This is ug whereby everything that favours de govt is made into a law.that bill is only beneficial to the regime. it is simply meant to silence any waves of public discontent championed by the opposition! Does that law also works on my introduction/wedding/lunching/graduation and my clan and family meeting?
