Kampala

The Inspector General of Police, Gen Kale Kayihura, has lauded the Democratic People's Republic of Korea popularly known as North Korea for their resilience amid international pressure.

During a courtesy visit by North Korea's Vice Minister for People's Security, Mr Ri Song Chol, to the police headquarters in Kampala on Tuesday, Gen Kayihura said Uganda will learn from their experiences. "We have a lot of respect for the people of Democratic People Republic of Korea. We admire your steadfast and resilience towards the pressure put on your country for years," Gen Kayihura said.

For the last five years, North Korea has been providing assistance to Uganda security organs.

Mr Chol said they will share their experience and successes with Uganda. "We have many experiences in how to defend our nation for a long time consistently. We are ready to share our experiences on how we dealt with those struggles," Mr Chol said.
