{UAH} KCCA can earn 168 billion a Year

 

 

All possible channels for speedy execution of KCCA programs should be sought.

My proposal is , that If KCCA sought to become a service provider (hire a firm to go around the law) e.g. of the internet to only 500'000 (half a million) city dwellers at London fees of 7 pounds per month, every month KCCA will be making 14'000'000'000 UGX. (168 billion year) This amount can build more roads, start solar energy farm to light the city, build houses for the low social class and totally eliminate slums). That huge city hall almost underutilised, can host the servers and telephone boxes etc. 

-          For generating more income; every household in the urban planning area, KCCA should seek to offer internet services to them. This can be billed at a reasonable fee. In London, it is 7 British pounds a month (28'000 UGX). All over Sweden, it is about 275 Swedish crowns (68750). You can start with areas like Ntida- Bukoto, Muyenga – Buziga-Munyonyo, kakungulu estates, etc. to optimize income.  One digital telephone box can have 1 million subscribers. -          KCCA people who own a quarter an acre or more of land in Kampala should be compelled to submit physical planning details of their land. That is, in case of land falling is out of the immediate physical planning area. This will offer KCCA an expeditious implementation of programs. These land owners have to observer the physical planning law 2000 or KCCA can help them design and model their land as per required standards.

I have tried to look at slum land "ownership" – it appears slums are normally owned by a few people who claim to have settled there first. Gabba for example,  is owned by about five or six people.  Slums are normally found in wetlands and low value areas.

This gives KCCA a very good opportunity to put into action her physical plans expeditiously.
