{UAH} MP Otto's bill to regulate alcohol consumptions is on right course

Folks;

 

Aruu MP, Odongo Otto has introduced a well-intentioned, but badly written, bill to regulate distillation, packaging, marketing and sale of alcholic bevearges in the country.

 

I support this bill, and urge you to do the same. All Hon. Otto needs to do now is get the services of a legal drafter who will asssist him edit and improve the language of this bill.

 

Uganda needs a new law to control how we brew and sell liquor. For example, packaging potent alcohol in satchets in order to target the lowest buying power is akin to spreading poison among the weakest in our society.

 

There are a bunch of merits in this bill.
