{UAH} Encourage use of local languages

I applaud the Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi for raising concern about schools that penalise students for speaking their local languages. It is said that the best way for a child to quickly grasp what they are being taught is if they are taught in their mother-tongue. We show how proud we are of our motherland by promoting our culture and in this case, our local languages.

All school curricula should include our local languages to be taught at various levels in the education system and documents such as the Constitution should have local language translations. Remember that the preservation of culture signifies modernity.
