{UAH} DEAR MUSEVENI@ FORGET THE ROBERT ATUHAIRWES AND LISTEN TO ME

Dear Mr. President (MUSEVENI),

You seized power in a 1981-86 popularly supported guelila war, with the goal of eliminating corruption and poverty among other objectives as was clearly spelt out in the 10 point program. To define this new rebirth, you called it a fundamental change. It sent waves of relief and hope to all Ugandans at the time.

There is no doubt that your domestic policies have created significant transformations especially in areas of security, education and promoting public health programs e.g SNIDS against Polio and measles. Much as you have been advocating for societal transformational policies like 'Entandikwa', Bonabagagawale, NAADS etc to fight poverty, their impact has been very minimal. Also, corruption is threatening to put down even what has already been achieved.

Mr President you have to realize that you have been at the helm of all these attempts, have been given all the opportunities to SHINE in this transformation struggle. Like a patriot team player it's high time you listened in good faith to the voices that are calling on you not to seek another TERM or try to impose your son on us. You should not listen to them, the Atuhairwes, as if they are aimed at disregarding your contribution in the transformation of this country. We appreciate that, it is a tough decision to make but it will make you a stronger and more admired Revolutionary. It will give an opportunity to other Ugandans to toss the ball.

The Atuhairwes only leaned good English in schools and how to be opportunistic, but there are not patriots. Please stop listening to them before it's too late. They are like mercenaries working for the highest bidder. They are giving you wrong advice that is going to burry you.

Otherwise we will end up in Civil war. We need you to peacefully handover power, allow the parliament to restore the constitution....then we can change over peacefully.

Please forget that trash of 'Revolutionaries don't give out power. They die in power. A quater pin is put in a bicycle with a hammer and removed by a hammer'. It will kill you for nothing, man. But you cannot talk about liberation for 27 years as a justification to be corrupt because of the bullets that hit you, all guerrillas are typical thieves.

Imagine an athlete who runs in a relay race and instead of handing over the baton, runs on. Is it surprising that you are tired, unpopular and finishing badly? And now corruption is legal; retirement is illegal as Odoki as exemplified. It's not about blaming you. The question should be- Can we be better as a country?

Regards
