Anglicans worldwide expresses shock, sadness over Pakistan bombings
Anglicans in Pakistan and around the world have expressed shock and sadness after two suicide bombers killed about 80 people and injured 200 at a church in Pakistan.
Church of Ireland elects first female bishop Pat Storey
The House of Bishops of the Church of Ireland, meeting Sept. 19 in Dublin, appointed the Rev. Pat (Patricia) Storey as the new bishop of Meath and Kildare, to succeed the Most Rev. Richard Clarke, who is now archbishop of Armagh. Storey, currently rector of St. Augustine's Parish Church in Londonderry, is the first woman in the Church of Ireland to be appointed a bishop.
New Zealand: More dioceses vote to divest from fossil fuels
The dioceses of Wellington and Waiapu have voted to remove all of their investments in companies that extract or produce fossil fuels.
