BANIBA NATIONAL HALF MARATHON, KAPCHORWA – SATURDAY 26 OCTOBER 2013

 

KAPCHORWA

• Uganda's Baniba National Half Marathon (plus a 10km race) will take place on Saturday 26 October in Kapchorwa, Eastern Uganda (having been rescheduled from 27 October).

 

ATHLETICS WEEKLY MAGAZINE

• Kevin and Sue O'Connor are pleased to announce that over 200 copies of the prestigious, glossy, coloured, magazine Athletics Weekly, which have been airmailed to Uganda by British and Irish readers, will be available for free distribution to runners. The World-famous Athletics Weekly publicises itself as, "THE NUMBER.1 MAGAZINE FOR RUNNERS AND ATHLETES". It normally costs around Ug Sh 12,000 plus overseas postage.

 

UAF COMMENT

• Faustino Kiwa, Organising Secretary of the Ugandan Athletics Federation (UAF) said: "The UAF is delighted to collaborate with Kevin & Sue on this initiative. It will mean that those athletes who don't win prizes will still take away something from which they will remember the event. It will also encourage runners to get to the start in good time to ensure they receive a copy of the magazine."
