{UAH} RESPONSE to Mukunya and Mulyanti

Ms Mulyanti and Mr Mukunya,
I know you mean well when you suggest that we let everyone that wants to serve UNAA to do so. To a large extent, I agree with you.
However, when you've rules, you've to play by those rules. Otherwise, you'll have a mess. I think that's why organizations have rules in the first place.
But that doesn't mean that the affected individuals (Rahim, Gerald and Nicholas) can't serve UNAA in different capacities. Both of you served us well in Dallas, even if you were not on the Council. Most UNAA volunteers don't serve on the Council. Mr Awichu can be in charge of the convention organizing committee even if he's not in the Council. Mr kabagambe and Mr Wakou can be appointed as special representatives of the UNAA in their areas. We already have a title of UNAA Ambassadors.
Last week, Ben Nyende and I discussed these options. As Ben mentioned in his posting, I told him that I'm ok with these gentlemen being appointed by the president as long as they don't serve in elective office where they cast votes. I think that's a good compromise.
Thanks

Subject: UNAALIST My membership in UNAA

Dear Members, in the spirit of our organization, we should know when to draw the line and stop attacking each other. A lot has been written on this forum, people have called each other names yet we are all volunteers.

Dr. Muniini has gone beyond what he should have done and provided evidence that he paid his membership. Mr. Ogwanga, with the utmost respect as my President, I don't think its necessary for Dr. Muniini to provide on this forum 5 years of his membership payment. I also don't think he has anything to prove as far as his love and his payment of UNAA membership is concerned period. It is my view that we have more important issues to address than ask Dr. Muniini to provide us with that information. Dr. Muniini was vetted by the Council and approved, If he did not pay membership for the last five years, the out-going Council is to blame so let us put that to rest. Mr. Ogwanga, Just as I don't think Mr. Rahim should have been called a fraud by a full chairman of our BOT,   I don't think Dr. Muniini should be subjected to this kind of intrusion for giving his time to this organization.  Less come together and build this organization, Less not forget why the Youth were elected, less move UNAA forward. Let People like Dr. Muniini, Awichu and the Kabagambe's who want to volunteer their time not be turned away by the internal politics or infighting in UNAA. Were People wronged in the past yes but this is a new generation and we should not carry on that vendetta that ended in UNAA being split.

For I have a dream that one day Dr. Muniini and Rahim Kabagambe will join hands in building UNAA,
I have a dream that Mr. Ronnie Mayanja and Mr. Moses Wilson will come together and advise the current leadership on how to advance UNAA interests.
I have a dream that the 8 Council members led by Ms. Becky and the other 8 led by the speaker will all work together to advance the interests of UNAA. bye for now
PETER ERIC MUKUNYA,

UNAA Council Member, South West Region 2, 2013-2015
UAA-DFW Vice President
