{UAH} There is no Bahima tribe in Uganda
The word Bahima has its origin from the word obuhima
Obuhima is a disease medically known as asthma
There are two theories that explain why a certain group of people came to be called ABAHIMA
1. The current Bahima are cattle keepers from Rwanda who came speaking an asthmatic accent- they mixed their sickening kinyarwanda accent with local runyankole vocabularies and the indigenous people of Ankole started calling them Abahima- people who speak an asthmatic accent
2. Most cattle keeper from Rwanda who had been integrated in Kinyankole culture would sleep outside or in small huts. These cattle keepers especially their children would frequently suffer from asthmatic attacks due to coldness. The indigenous Banyankole started calling them Abahima- people who suffer asthmatic attacks.
Otherwise, there is no tribe in Uganda known as Bahima even in our constitution, you wont find a language called Ruhima
