{UAH} Celebrating Nelson Mandela's life

Fellow Ugandans:

It's a privilege for me to be one of the people who were invited to say a few words in celebrating the life of the recently departed president Nelson Mandela at http://www.arise.tv/headline/nelson-mandela-special-report-06-12-7pm-4056

I was one of the first United Nations Development Program (UNDP) officials to meet with President Mandela in Johannesburg in 1990 after his release from prison and he impressed me with his rich knowledge of not only South Africa but  also of the continent and the world at large.  In his message he repeatedly talked about harmony and opportunities for all, believing that all human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights.

It is hoped that we shall carry his legacy forward in order to realize his vision.
