{UAH} IT IS CHILDISH FOR RWANDA TO SIGN FOR FACEBOOK

Friends

I needed to respond to this “African development” piece as it is very disturbing, and I am going to start with a very simple question, what is the value of Facebook to a Rwandese today? There is no single reason that hindered African population to develop than copying. We come to developed countries and we copy everything we see here and we take it to our countries. Our so called development is not built from bottom up but on top only. African countries standards are decided depending on how those in urban centers live. Uganda is a very good country to go and have a holiday, but where? Kampala. The moment you go to Nakaseke Luwuube Kyengera Kaswa Nakaseke  let alone Nswanta as Timiina, you are like you are 500 kilometers from the capital. Just on record all locales I have listed are in the 35 kilometer radius of Kampala.

Men like AMO have managed to become way powerful when dead than alive for a very simple reason, their development of Uganda started from Nakaseke Kyengera Kaswa Nakaseke and Nswanta, it rolled with in those locales and a few just a few skirmishes of incomes came back to Kampala. In fact when you look closely at the Obote development he left Uganda in 1971 when Kampala had only one television station called UTV which was broadcasting in black and white, from about 4pm to 11 or midnight. God I have started to forget these things. We had only one radio station called Radio Uganda which was an AM station and we never had a single FM station. That one station with its sister station I forget the name was combining all major languages in the country. And Obote did all that because Kampala and all cities were not his major concern, his concern was how were the non-urban centers developing.

In the non-urban centers we had a massive government services that mattered the most, Mosquito fights, good schools good roads good factories for jobs creation, we had district teams and planning committees a functioning public health system. All this was installed for AMO knew that a good country starts with a good educated healthy rural population, we the rural population built the cities not Obote but we. The Africa we have today has abandoned the rural areas to target the cities, in turn the rural areas are no longer producing foreign exchange, thus the country and urban centers are developing based on foreign AID and borrowed money. It beats my small head how countries like Uganda will pay off those debts when the rural areas are no longer productive. How will the urban centers produce that money to be paid back? Because urban cities are populated with people that never went to school they are now massively Bodaboda operators. Now do not worry about Bodaboda operators worry about the children of the Bodaboda operators, who are many from plenty of mothers so scattered all over the God damn city and they are not taking them to school. The fathers that were destroyed by the wars have managed to be on a Bodaboda culture, but the children of the Bodaboda fathers are the generation that has started to smoke weed massively in Kampala. Now imagine the life style of Kampala 20 years down the road.

It all starts with stupidity you find in Rwanda today where a government believes that Facebook is of a more value to Rwanda people than helping the children in villages who drink water in a pond where cows drink too. It starts by a stupid thinking of Rwanda that Facebook is of a more value to Rwanda than fighting mosquitos in the rural areas. And do you know what is so funny? Rwanda is making Wi-Fi available in entire Kigali when it is not available in the entire Greater Authority of Toronto. But you see a Rwandese came to North America and saw the thing called Wi-Fi hey why not in Rwanda, can anyone comeon in and we sign an agreement? Well it is in Toronto why not Kigali? On record the city of Toronto is the 4th largest in the entire North America, when you consider North America only, Mexico city has the highest population, seconded by New York, Los Angles third, Toronto fourth and Chicago I think is 5th. So we are in the high 4. But in all those 4 high cities, we have invested so much money in water cleaning that when you get a water from a kitchen tap to a glass and you test it, we have the best water than all cites I have mentioned. The city Of Greater Authority of Toronto, has the best water from a pipe in all cities in its size. But we do not have Wi-Fi in the entire city for it is not a priority, tell me for God’s sakes why it is a priority of Rwanda. Yea there is a punk that said and quote “We are building Kigali to be the African Chicago” End quote. Really? Is that of value to me? No what is of value to me is that the government of Kigali comes on line to tell me how they have built a very good and up to date crapper for a Rwanda woman in Cyangugu let alone a grand Pa in Kibungo.

Rwanda has signed an agreement with Facebook, really just how many agreements have they signed with Apotex for cheaper medication to treat the thousands that die for crap is dropped all over the God damn place?  And I am just asking.  Africans you come in these countries and you so well copy, but my God have you seen how Toronto has built the best Trauma center in Sunny Brook? Have you driven to the New Market hospital and seen the trailers that are mobile MRI Machines? Why do we only copy Facebook and rotating restaurants, My God Uganda is now puking out malls as babies but they cannot produce power to run them for they still have load shedding to today. So who ever copied the malls never saw that EM Has power guaranteed. Or was not smart enough to know that power is of a more value to Ugandans than malls. Africans stop to copy things from the west go to the villages and build your countries.

My The president rest in peace indeed !!!!!!

Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) Works With Nokia Corp (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) And Airtel To Launch ‘SocialEDU’ in Rwanda

Posted on Feb 24 2014 - 11:20am by Pamela Garcia

On Feb 24,Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) announced starting a new program as part of its Internet.org project.

The social media website has today introduced a pilot initiative called SocialEDU which aims at providing education to the students in Rwanda. Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) wants to bring a mutual online education in the nation. The program seeks to provide students with free of cost, high quality localized educational substance. The program would create a social learning experience because it will be accessed via handheld devices. The company said that the program is a next step after the success of MOOCs or Massive Open Online Courses which had made access to high quality educational material affordable.

Facebook’s partners

Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) has worked with the Rwandan government, a telecom company, a device producer and an educational substance provider to materialize the project, said the company. Nokia Corp (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) will be providing support for hardware while Airtel will be the local carrier which will provide data subsidy. The company is availing the funding logistics from the Rwandan government.

The educational classes will come from edX which is a consortium of universities such as the University of Tokyo, Harvard and MIT. The program will provide the access to the study material via an application Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) will be designing. The application will deliver high speed meaningful education to the participants of the program. The app will be integrated into Facebook. Clearly, this would require Rwandans to sign up for the social networking site to access these classes.

Doubts

A matter of concern popping up is the scope of the project which is quite unclear and shortsighted with Airtel’s free data offer expiring after only a period of one year. Nevertheless, Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) describes the project a pilot program, which shows it, plans to launch similar programs in other countries sometime in the future.
