President Yoweri Museveni has once again come under spotlight after he was photographed by aides travelling in a canoe without a life jacket. This is not the first time Museveni is putting his life on the line. Last year, the President was photographed driving at a fast pace to his farm in Kisozi, Mpigi district. At that time, he was not wearing a seatbelt. Museveni boards the canoe, with his AK 47 rifle right in his hands Chimpreports now understands that on Sunday, President Museveni ignored a life jacket as he crossed River Mayanja after a five-kilometre walk from Kyankwanzi to Ngoma. The President is attending the NRM retreat at the National Leadership Institute in Kyankwanzi. Interestingly, Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi was wearing the life jacket on the same canoe with Museveni. While Mbabazi was seated with hands holding firmly on the edges of the canoe, Museveni was standing right in the middle of the water vessel. It remains unclear why Museveni opts to take such life-threatening risks.
